a little gift...~

Art Diary # 2

This is a gift for the yearbook's staff. I was one of the members, so I deserved the gift. It is a little trunk, inside has a piece of coton and a shell. There is a message saying" this shell represents the big ocen of opportunities, Dream High!! The decorations and drawings was made by my teacher as you can see my name on it, the flowers and the happy faces :) Also, everytime when I feel down, I will open this little trunk and read the message.......it tells me to never give up..~~!!!

my portraits

Art Diary # 1

I was observing the portraits that I have inmy room. I paint and designed the decorations. I like both of them pretty much. Also I tried to find a picture to math each portrait's style. Such as the one with purple lines, black blackgroud and little red flowers. The red flowers goes with the color of my dress as is shown in the picture. The another portrait is based on a lot of tiny lines, and a little degradation of brown and white colors, and the last detail or complement was the orange flowers. I did those two portraits during spring break, two years ago when I was in High School. Finally, in the last portraid I used a red construction paper. Then, I bent and started drawing the stars and moons and some curve lines. I added two black papers and I cut two flowers from a Geography magazine. I also added"Best Friend 4Ever" that's in the right side and in the left side it says"Happy Valentine's Day". Although I never gave that card to her, because at that time we were mad at each other. I wanted to reconcile with her, but I never had the bravery of saying "sorry" first. Then I kept the card. Till, New Year she came to my house and saw it.

Michelle and I had an art trip last thursday, during sprink break. That day was sunny, warm and a little windy. We started exploring the arts from Millenium park. Then we stopped by the "Cloud Gate", and we had a lot of fun taking pictures. After we finished our tour in Millenium Park, then we walked down to the Agore. In our way walking to "Agora", we were contemplating all the marvelous art works in Chicago such as the sculture of (Ivan Mestrovic) "The Bowman". Although we forgot to take a picture with that sculpture. Finally, when we were almost there in the "Agora". I was so impressed about those gigant sculpture"Agora". In fact, I knew they were so huge, but not that giant. I wonder if the irons used for bulding those sculture "Agora" were oxidized or the artist paint them with a dark brown color? Furthermore, art work that I had liked was the "Miro's Chicago". The bottom part has a bell's shape, and the top part looked like a fork. To conclude, from this art trip I have learned to appreciate more the beauty of art works in Chicago city. I recommend this trip to all the visitors who will be interested to look at art works because there are many adventurous things to explore.
